Empowering the Pacific through Digital Finance

PacWallex is a New Zealand–headquartered financial-technology group building the next generation of digital-payment infrastructure for the South Pacific.
We operate across New Zealand, Australia, Samoa, Vanuatu, and the Solomon Islands, delivering compliant, secure, and affordable financial solutions that connect local communities to global networks.

Who We Are

PacWallex is part of the Freedom Pacific Group, a licensed fintech ecosystem operating under multiple jurisdictions:

  • Samoa – Freedom Pacific (Samoa) Limited, licensed by the Central Bank of Samoa (CBS) as a Money Transfer Operator (No. MT0002).

  • New Zealand – Supay Technology Ltd and Freedom Pacific (NZ) Ltd, registered financial-service providers under the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA).

  • Australia – Freedom Pacific (Australia) Pty Ltd, supervised by AUSTRAC for remittance and payment services.

  • Vanuatu – Freedom Pacific (Vanuatu) Ltd, holder of a local Financial Services Licence.

  • Solomon Islands – PacWallex Solomon Islands Ltd, managing domestic remittance and digital-payment operations.

Together, these entities form a regulated network designed to support compliant cross-border remittances, merchant payments, and digital-wallet services throughout the Pacific region

Technology & Compliance

PacWallex’s digital-wallet platform is locally hosted in Samoa and maintained by our New Zealand technology subsidiary, ensuring full data sovereignty under CBS supervision.
Our systems meet ISO 27001 / 27701, PCI DSS, and FATF Recommendation 15 standards for information security and technology-risk management

  • AES-256 and TLS 1.3 encryption for all data;

  • Multi-factor authentication and role-based access control;

  • 24/7 Security Operations Center monitoring and independent penetration tests;

  • 1:1 fund safeguarding in CBS-supervised trust accounts;

  • Tiered e-KYC and real-time AML/CFT monitoring aligned with FATF standards.

Regional Partnerships

PacWallex collaborates with global and regional partners to extend payment connectivity:

  • Worldpay (Visa & Mastercard Acquiring): Through Supay Technology Ltd (New Zealand), PacWallex is an integrated PayFac partner of Worldpay, enabling merchants across the Pacific to accept Visa and Mastercard payments securely and affordably.

  • Auckland International Innovation Centre (AIIC): Under a formal Memorandum of Understanding, AIIC provides technology development and compliance support for PacWallex’s digital-wallet infrastructure from its Auckland base. This collaboration strengthens our technical resilience and regulatory alignment across the region.

  • Ant Technology & Supay Technology: Provide back-end engineering and real-time risk-control systems supporting wallet operations and AML compliance.

Vision for the Pacific

Our long-term goal is to establish a seamless Pacific-wide payment corridor, connecting Samoa, New Zealand, Australia, and neighboring islands through a regulated, interoperable digital-finance network.
By empowering local economies with trusted technology and responsible innovation, PacWallex aims to make the Pacific region a leader in inclusive digital financial growth.
